Skills

Frenzy (Mana Cost - 80/ 90/ 110/ 130/ Cooldown – 40 Sec.)



Description: Increases Viper’s attack speed, at the expense of taking more damage. The speed increases from 25% to 100% while the increased damage taken changed from 5% to 20% from level 1 to level 4 of the skill.

Poison Attack (Mana Cost - 30/ Cooldown – N/A)



Description: Coats Viper’s attacks with poison, slowing his attackers and causing damage to them for 2 seconds. The slow effect increases from 10% to 40% and damage done increases from 6 to 24 per second.

Corrosive Skin (Mana Cost – N/A / Cooldown – N/A)



Description: Viper engulfs himself in poison, dealing a small amount of damage (5-20) per second for 3 seconds. The skill also reduces spell and magic damage reduction starting from 5%, increasing to 20% at level 4.

Viper Strike (Mana Cost – 125/175/250/ Cooldown – 40 Sec.)



Description: Strikes with a vicious bite, slowing movement and attack speeds significantly (40%-80%) and dealing poison damage over time (60 per second at level 1 to 145 at level 3). Lasts 5 Seconds.

Early Game



I personally start with Ring of Regeneration, Sobi Mask and a health can. And then work towards getting Preseverance as well as Boots of Travel. You can either get Power Threads which will have 60 speed / 35% increase attack speed instead of Boots of Travel. Since I can own most of the heroes I prefer Boots of Travel. In the early game don’t go for kills because of the low HP of Viper. Harass heroes with the poison attack and send them back to the town. Farm / last hit / deny and get many experience / gold for the mid game. If you are talented enough / lucky you might get a kill or two with Viper Strike + Frenzy + Poison Attack.



Mid Game

Now it all depends on your enemy heroes and the level difference between you and your enemy heroes. If you get harassed or feel like you might get ganked go for a Lothar’s Edge which will have active wind walk as well as it will boost your damage. Now it’s your time of game and with your viper strike and poison attack get as many kills as possible. Farm more and get Yasha and Sange , butterfly.




Late Game

Now you have a good inventory of items and might have killed many enemy heroes. If you still think your survivability is low then get a heart of terresque. Otherwise farm for an item like Burrizza / monkey king bar. With Preseverance, BoT, YnS, Burriza, Butterfly, Heart / Lothar (or MKB) you can own the game.You can upgrade presevarance to battle fury.




Note

I am quite an aggressive player who always goes for the kill. If you are not that aggressive, it’s always recommended to get the defensive items such as Heart, Lothar.

You can upgrade presevarance to battle fury.its available in the level 3 shop.you need presevarance, mithril hammer and claymore for the upgrade.

it gives +65 damage, +150% mana regen,+6 hp regen per sec, cleaving attack.good item for strength and agitity heroes.

but da battlefury's cleaving attack is only for melee heroes ryt??

u dnt build battlefury for range.. lol..specially for viper u dnt build.. jus get viper manta butter n health n damage..

haha nice guide krazy!! but few pointers.. u must play to a heros strengths..
for instance viper doesnt need perse because u already hav a ring.. he has low health which with 1 tango + ring can recover half the bar..

he is ranged therfore he wont get hit much.. unless ur opponent is a nuker, u hsould get more tangos.. now poison attack isnt for creeps and uses 20 mana.. so if u only use it on heros im sure with 1 clarity at ur disposal u can stay till lvl 10 in ur lane.. perse is good for the ranged heros hu NEED mana...

Getting a ring is good idea, then get wriath bands.. around 3? power treads is the way 2 go so that u got around + 30 damage and + 30 agi by lvl 8.. gank heros like mad and get rad or butter.. sange and yasha is pointless because u hav a poison attack which is orb.. it does 20 dmaage p/s which i think is better than sange any day as it also slows.. after butter getting buriza is good but remember play to the game.. if the game is all about the str heros then get heart or lothars..late game ur not going to tank too much so try to support the tankers as much as possible..

And on a side note battle fury does NOT work for ranged heros

DotA ain't played 1v1 so u should look at item builds with a bigger picture in mind
